Jan and everyone,
I'm so sad that I won't be able to make the reunion. What an incredible event it will be--especially for those who haven't been back for 40 years! I'm looking forward to good pictures and juicy scoop on everyone.
Reading the "in memoriam" tugs at the heart strings. Several surprises there.
Thanks for all you and the committee have done to put this together. I'm looking forward to hearing about the next one, hopefully enough in advance to make plans. The website is fantastic. It looks like they've enlarged the school, or is my memory that bad?? It looks great.
Have a great weekend with the class and say hey to everyone for me.

Greetings from the ass-end of the US!(I can see Sarah Palin from my porch!)
Sorry I can't be with you all. When I went off to college, I felt that I had been short-changed in high school. Though I was forever grateful to Ms. Tatham (sp?)for making us write term papers. I used those skills in college and grad school. How old were those broads anyway? As old as we are now? I trust we are better preserved!
Anyway, have a great party, avoid law enforcement involvement if possible.
Hello classmates. It isn't by design, but in not attending this reunion, I have a perfect record, because I've missed all the others before. I had hoped to be at this one, but simply cannot. I'm not sure I could handle 40 years of aging in one walk into a room. It might be too fast for me. Whew!
I haven't seen as many as 10 of you probably since graduation night, since we scattered to the 4 winds. Won't bore you with details -- we all have them, except that I'm alive and well in Pensacola, wonderful wife, Janis, of 37 years, 3 grown kids, 5 grandkids. I would love to hear from any of you and catch up. If the editor lets this remain, you can find me at email: fhpjrrom@gmail.com, or I'm on Facebook under my own name. Have a great evening. Will miss you all!

My dear classmates of '69,
I've never blogged before but have decided it is really like writing in someone's annual only more people can see it, so you have to be careful!
Just pulled into Macon a couple of hours ago and went straight to the computer to review the pictures and send out a big THANK YOU to Scot, Jan, Sheryl and Lewie who put this whole weekend together. It was superb!
The years I spent with all of you at NF and before that at Garden Hills and Rock Springs were ones I will always treasure. The Atlanta we knew in those days no longer exists, but the memories of walking to and from school, hanging out at the pool EVERY DAY OF THE SUMMER, eating at the Jr. Varsity, Zesto's and Gigi's Pizza (I don't think calories had been invented yet!)will live on in my heart forever!! (You noticed I said heart and not mind, as I don't remember every little detail like some of you do - Jan, Cissie and Lewie!)
I wouldn't trade one minute of the time spent in those hallowed halls, where I learned so much about life, friendship and the pursuit of boyfriends, and managed to get an education in the process.
We missed those who couldn't make it! We must have another gathering before 10 more years go by.
Loved every minute!!
Blessings to all,
Ellen
I just finished talking with Jan and she shamed me into writing something clever in the comment box. So I sat down and stared at the computer obviously suffering from writer's block. I thought it would be fun to write something “annually” like don’t ever change, have a great summer, or hope we’ll be in the same crafts class at the retirement home next year, but that just didn’t do it for me. In an effort to stimulate anything worth reading, I pulled out my 1969 North Fulton Hi-Ways to seek inspiration.
When I opened it up, out fell a rough draft of my funeral arrangements that I had worked on a few years earlier--I thought my daughter would appreciate this along with the "when-to-pull-the-plug" documentation. The first page included a list of my pallbearers--all of them from North Fulton, Who better to take the last walk with than your best friends? Imagine, after 40 years, I still consider the friendships made at North Fulton to be the best, the most honest, strongest, and obviously, most enduring. What more could you ask of a friend? As for the rest of the information, I told my daughter just to call Ashkouti, he’ll handle the open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres for all of us.
I hope you don't think of this in anyway morbid but more of a thank you for a great time in our lives. I know it was for me. I wish I could be at the reunion with you to retell the same stories that never get old but I'll leave that to Wayne...I can only imagine how much more animated he is after 40 years!
Have a wonderful time at the reunion. I will miss every last one of you and I had a blast going through the annual. Great job on the site Scot, be sure to tell your nephew. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.

Susie just called me and said this was absolutely the best reunion ever. Congratulations Jan, Sheryl, Scott and Lewie. I am so sorry I missed the great time had by all. The pictures are great and everone looks so good. I'm sorry I could not change my plans. I hope like everyone else that the next one won't be ten years from now. I have so many great memories all the way back to kindergarten.
I regret missing this one.
Hope to see you soon.

Thanks, all, for commenting. Wow, some of you have kept in touch pretty well. My life has kept me apart. So it's a real kicker to my mind to see the pictures and hear names from so long ago, but which are just as familiar now with a 40 yr gap as the last time I saw most of you. I am really moved. John Meyer, Mr. Moon -- I was there when you earned your moniker .... hoped to see or hear from you. Good word! Ellen Love -- and Katrina Stone (sorry for not using your married names), can't believe it. Ellen, you live in Macon? Since when? We (Janis, wife for 37 yrs)lived there most of 90s. Now we're in Pensacola. (I think about Gigi's Pizza all the time. Nobody has salads like theirs were!) Hope to re-connect with some. Just to catch up. Would be nice. I left my email in another blog on this site.

Dear Classmates:
Just received an email from the person that gave some of us a tour of NF (now the Atlanta International School). She says that there is a movie "The Blind Side" that is coming out November 20th, starting Sandra Bullock, that was filmed in our school this year. Go to youtube.com and search "The Blind - Official Trailer" for previews." Amazing!
What a reunion!! It was great seeing all of you.

Does anybody know how to get in touch with Earl Floyd? If so, please ask him to email me at mstaab01@yahoo.com or call me at 404-644-6444. My name is Michelle Staab (Grady -'69) used to hang out with some of you. I'm trying to find him for my sister, Renee. We just had our reunion in October...it was a blast. Regards.
OMG just had lunch with Sheryl and it was grand! Sorry I have missed so many reunions. Everybody in the picture looks great. I must have some kind of bad mojo when it comes to schools, all the schools I went to (with the exception of SPS the only 1-8 school in Sewanee, Tennessee) no longer exist. I makes me glad that so many of US still do! Love to all. Melissa (Collins) Williams. coachwil@bellsouth.net
